Craft Coffee Talk: NéoPaléo
An online visit of the exhibition NéoPaléo, curated by Studio BehaghelFoiny. This exhibition seeks to write a history of design between past, present, and future, bringing together the creations of around fifteen designers.
The history of technology has been built on a gradual evolution from manual labor to the use of increasingly sophisticated tools and machines. Going against this trend, the NéoPaléo exhibition presents a landscape of contemporary design practices that engage directly with materials and fully reintegrate the spontaneity of the hand into the way they are shaped, while remaining in tune with today’s material and technological environment. The NeoPaleo time capsule thus brings together heterogeneous approaches, where gestures mobilize both ancestral know-how and digital processes, manufactured elements and elements derived from living organisms.
