Meeting with Two 2025 Young Talents Prize Laureates

6 December @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
meeting with two 2025 young talents prize laureates

We invite you to a special meeting with Rose Crouan, weaver, and Hermine Torikian, cabinetmaker and marquetry artist, both recognised in 2025 by the Young Talents Prize, a competition organised by the CMA Île-de-France with the support of the Métropole du Grand Paris.

📅 Saturday 6 December
🕑 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
📍 Le Carrousel des Métiers d’Art et de Création
Le Carreau du Temple, Paris 3rd arrondissement

Rose Crouan: Trained at Duperré, textile artist Rose Crouan develops a textile language inspired by modern architecture: by working with reclaimed materials and industrial modules, she creates monochrome, architectural pieces where light, grids and repetition structure textiles that become hangings, panels or interior objects.

Hermine Torikian: With a background in architecture, cabinetmaker and marquetry artist Hermine Torikian designs unique pieces of furniture with curved lines and vibrant marquetry surfaces. She explores movement, contrast and the balance of wood to create singular everyday objects that are poetic and meticulously crafted.

This encounter is an opportunity to discover two distinctive practices that reinvent the crafts in their own ways, and to explore how innovation can emerge both from respect for traditional know-how and from a fresh perspective on materials and gestures.
