Co-Creation
Co-creation Experience – Halina Bartoszek – Sweden
“A wonderful creative journey that expanded my skills, inspiration, and artistic connections.”
Introduction
The co-creation process was a truly inspiring and engaging experience. I participated in a linoleum printing and carving group, which was fantastic — a perfect blend of creativity, focus, and collaboration. Working with linoleum allowed me to explore new textures and techniques, from the careful carving process to the exciting moment of printing the final artwork. The atmosphere in the group was full of positive energy and artistic exchange, which made the experience even more valuable. I truly enjoyed sharing ideas and learning from others, while also expressing my own artistic vision through the prints. It was a super experience! I created a regional symbol traditionally embroidered on women’s corsets from Podhale, Poland — a motif representing health, strength, resilience, and happiness. The plant grows in the mountains and carries deep cultural meaning. This design became my signature mark, inspired by both Polish folk heritage and Swedish Dalarna flowers, blending two rich traditions into one artistic expression. I print it on my author's extiles Halina Rosa Design.
Activities Undertaken
During my mobility, I took part in intensive practical workshops in linoleum printing, including designing, carving, and printing graphic works. I worked in an inspiring environment where every stage of the process was carried out with great precision and attention to detail. The host organization team was extremely professional, kind, and supportive — always willing to share their knowledge and experience. Thanks to their guidance, I learned many new artistic techniques and improved my manual skills. The collaboration was based on mutual respect, creativity, and open exchange of ideas. It was a truly enriching experience that broadened my artistic horizons and inspired me to continue developing my creative practice.
Benefits Achieved
The mobility experience brought me many valuable benefits, both artistic and professional. I developed new skills in linoleum printing, including precise carving and composition techniques, and deepened my understanding of visual expression through printmaking. I also strengthened my teamwork abilities, communication in an international environment, and confidence in presenting my creative ideas. The collaboration with the host organization opened new perspectives for future artistic projects and possible joint exhibitions. I established inspiring contacts with artists and educators who share similar values of creativity and sustainability. This experience motivated me to continue exploring traditional techniques in a contemporary context and to integrate them into my future design and educational work.
