Yaroslava Popovych
Yaroslava Popovych is an artist who specializes in painting, graphics, textiles, and beadwork. The theme of her works is the depiction of flowers and unique natural environments. She is an active participant and manager of cultural projects, including exhibitions, symposiums, conferences, creative competitions, and art residencies. She is a repeated laureate of all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions and has been awarded numerous certificates for her active work in state and public institutions and the promotion of Ukrainian art abroad. Popovych has authored 14 personal exhibitions in Ukraine and Poland and has participated in more than 60 group exhibitions in these countries.
The artist’s work is full of nature subjects and floral motifs. They associate flowers with living organisms: birth, growth, flowering, and dying. On their canvases, flowers seem to continue life, and the Yaroslava avoids images where they are cut or standing in vases. Dynamic floral compositions are complemented by bright colours.
