By training I am an art historian, by profession a primary art school teacher, and at heart a maker of stitched jewelry. For me, creating is pure flow and deep relaxation—a state where I simply lose myself in the process.
I am fascinated by the needle and thread: an ancient, portable, and wonderfully compact tool that offers infinite freedom. I love disassembling old jewelry and reinventing it into new compositions. I use anything with a hole—and whatever lacks one, I frame with stitching to absorb it into a new form. While I love semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls, I just as eagerly weave in found wooden or plastic beads, or anything that comes my way. Follow a few basic rules, and the outcome is entirely up to my imagination.
I simply love observing the world and human creativity in all its forms. I see art—whether historical or contemporary—as an extraordinary expression of human potential and the ability to seek and find beauty.

I specialize in stitched jewelry and wearable art made with needle and thread. I work with a blend of materials—from freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones to upcycled vintage jewelry, fabric remnants, and found beads. I love taking discarded or forgotten objects, framing them with stitching, and giving them a new life as unique, wearable compositions. I first discovered stitched jewelry 18 years ago during my maternity leave—it started as a deep need for creative relaxation. Later, during my time as a gallery educator, I incorporated parts of this technique into creative workshops for the public. I have been practicing this craft for 18 years now. My favourite technique is stitched jewelry and bead embroidery—an ancient, wonderfully portable art form that requires minimal tools and offers infinite creative freedom.
