I am passionate about knitting, crocheting, yarn spinning, fibers dyeing, but also hiking and gardening. (Sometimes I even combine that.) I love nature and environment conditions matters to me. Therefore I support slow fashion my way – I support and engage people to create their own unique pieces of warderobe with fibers and yarns from my small studio Woolento.
I used to create something all the time already from my childhood. Then I grew up, become “serious person” climbing on the corporate ladder until I realised that it is not what I really want to do. I left corporation 3 years ago and started to build up my own handcraft brand: Woolento. I work with natural fibers and dyes and my speciality is to make “slow sweaters” – all the way from fiber, through dyeing, yarn spinning until last stitch of hand knitted sweater.

Natural Fibers
Dyeing of natural fibers is not exactly an art, it is an art in hidden form, which can be discovered later on. People can create anything from few meters of this dyed fiber. It can be spun, felted, veawed, knitted …etc. There is lot of possibilities inside. I am happy when I am deep in the dyeing process, discovering new techniques and color combinations.
art yarns
I make art yarns (like this one on the photo) from natural undyed fibers. Carding, dyeing, blending of diffrent fibers and colors is always magical time for me. It is also surprise until last move of the spinnig wheel. After washing I can see the result finally.
slow sweater
This is my slow sweater. I used wool from a local farmer that I hand-carded, hand-dyed, hand-spun, and finally hand-knit — the whole process done entirely by me. It took about four weeks to finish. I’ve already made a few more, but this one was the first, so it’s very special to me.
