I am a multidisciplinary artist with focus on sculpture. Moved by vital status more than a discipline, I search in space bonds, violence, division, connection, things happening, live, etc.
I’ve worked with textile and wood, and also graphic arts and etching. But nowadays my focus is on sound (which I am first exploring) and biomaterials. Anyway, anything I do has something to do with found objects, with nature, with giving all them a second life. So I still don’t forget textile, and don’t forget the other crafts, but include them in my works. I am on biomaterials since January and still exploring, with a lot to learn. Maybe that would be my gratest interest.
Artworks
In this sculpture, voice (into water) meets riverplants to talk about the hability of talking. A narrative unheard is sustained on a bioplastic "throat", which has almost acquired the capacity of being a life organism by itself.
This piece is made of felted wool and belts. Talking about the experience of being closed in a "safe" place, becomes the irony. Soft and "hard" as part of one same thing. The sculpture, it's shape, appeared to me in a dream.
Piece all in wood and textile. Talking in abstraction, two bodies relate to each other. Combined, a new organism, a symbiosis, a whole new thing seems to be taking place. It always remembers me to my own body, a human body, eventhough it talks about connections.
