Ena Borovac is an illustrator from Serbia, currently based in Barcelona. She primarily works in analogue collage, combining found paper, vintage magazines, handpainted textures, and drawn elements to create playful and unexpected compositions.
Beyond paper, she explores glass as a medium, crafting stained glass and mosaic pieces, a practice deeply rooted in her family’s century-long tradition, which she’s passionate about continuing in her own way.
Ena holds a BA in Graphic Design from Belgrade and an MA in Illustration from Falmouth University, UK. She also has experience teaching art, having worked as an art history teacher and led workshops in collage and stained glass for both children and adults.
What makes her work unique is her love for mixing and matching materials and imagery, and her excitement for the uncertainty of where intuition and curiosity will take her next.

Inspired by the Sagrada Familia, Ena created this collage after observing and sketching the basilica from various angles. She was especially captivated by its dramatic presence at night. This piece, her first collage of the monument, blends layered textures and shapes to capture the cathedral’s intricate forms and the play of light and shadow that left such a strong impression on her.

Inspiration: Villa Schmidt, Vrbas, Serbia. One of the most significant architectural works of the 19th century in style of secession The villa was designed by the Schmidt brothers, architects who left mark in Europe and Africa. Today this architectural gem is in jeopardy.

This stained glass sketch reimagines discarded fragments from past projects into a vibrant new composition. The design embraces the beauty of reuse, blending diverse shapes and colors into a harmonious piece. Created for an upcoming exhibition, it celebrates transformation and sustainability through art, giving old elements a fresh life.
