My work is a reflection of internal and exterior world. A little bit rebel, a little bit rock’n’roll. Funny at times but always with purpose. Fashion is crafted with knits, metal pieces, where the handmade meets modern aesthetics.
Knitting and creating things with my hands. Always played with arts and fashion. Knit came to me on university when i had to learned it for my last project, the final fashion colection. Since then, its been a must have on my collections and my work because of how natural it comes to my human being. Love to play as well with metal pieces as it adds textures and atittude to the work.
Artworks

This is a look photo from the Cheeky Deviants, presented on Moda Madeira, where my handmade knit work is present, as well as the acessories I make, the necklace, the tiny bag and re-worked shoes.

This photo I Share is from the Feminist Exhibition on Arte Caravel from ARTE M. Made specially for the event, this t-shirt speaks for it self. Art needs to be aware. As a woman myself, I've poured my rage into art when i saw the portuguese news of woman being killed by the people who should protect them. With the knited piece bellow its hanged as a gosth with no body beneath it. To make people react and think for themselfs.

This is a historic piece made with the style from the XIX Century. Made for Madeira's Monte council to celebrate "O dia do imperador". All the city dress code changes this day, celebrating the austrian emperor and his stay on Monte.
The look of the modern woman who already studies and takes new jobs.Blouse, skirt, bow, hat and bag. Made with the thought and ways of the XIX. A lot of study and a new way to see pattern making for me as an artist. Getting out of the confort zone. The academic woman, the modern woman of XIX. More pratical clothing for the woman who marks society more directly.

Art instalation. My work in perspective, the old, the present and the future. As if we are on the head of the brand. Combination of everything that represents DBackyard. The patterns, prototypes, finished pieces. Acessories, knits and wearble pieces too. Magazines, media, sketchbooks and lookbooks. The pieces drop from the ceiling with different lenghts to create dinamism, finishing on the floor like a cascate.
