Anastasia Tasić
Hi, I’m Anastasia Tasić! I graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in the department of painting, completing both my BFA and MFA studies. After finishing my master’s degree, I explored various artistic fields and built an interdisciplinary portfolio that included theater work, music, animation and design. Since 2020, I’ve narrowed my focus and returned to visual art. I currently live in Belgrade, where I create sculptures, paintings, lino and riso prints and tattoos.
Trying new materials and experimenting with things I haven’t tried before is what keeps me motivated in my work. I like to conquer new skills. I also like using what I have on hand and making it work, so the techniques I use depend on what I have (sometimes it’s donated screen printing acrylic, sometimes it’s paper pulp made from bad drawings, sometimes it’s paper and pencil). My most recent obsession is experimenting with paper pulp and seeing what I can make with it, whether it’s paper casting or working with paper clay, or just perfecting the drying process of homemade paper.
