During this intense and inspiring experience at the Helliden Folkhögskola, in Tidaholm, Sweden, I had the opportunity to participate in a lithography workshop that brought together artists from different parts of the world. Immersed in a creative and collaborative context, we explored the traditional techniques of stone lithography, exploring its expressive potential through comparison, experimentation and daily practice. A valuable educational experience, enriched by the atmosphere of the school, the castle and the Swedish landscape. The work presents itself as an intricate interweaving of dense lines, where each sign is the visible testimony of an intangible gesture, hidden in the memory. Here the gesture becomes a trace, an imprint of concentrated energy that escapes physicality, while the lines construct complex, living and changing diagrams, which challenge the predefined patterns. These signs seem to dialogue silently with the unconscious, evoking an invisible but perceived movement.
The relationship with the host organisation was extremely positive: the Helliden Folkhögskola proved to be a welcoming, well-structured and resourceful place. The organization has ensured a stimulating, collaborative and well-structured work environment, with a competent teaching staff always available for discussion. This experience laid the foundations for future collaborations, with perspectives of shared projects, artistic residencies and cultural exchanges.
During the workshop I had the opportunity to initiate contacts with artists, curators and teachers from different countries, creating an international network that could translate into future opportunities for artistic and professional cooperation. The skills developed and the connections established represent a precious asset.
