Saber Fazer has an extensive training programme in diverse textile areas and has been publishing technical books and e-Learning programmes. We are also involved in different EU funded and public funded projects focusing on community learning and innovation in education for the craft sector.

SABER FAZER, a BB unit, is distinguished by its technically rigorous approach to the area of arts and crafts education, combined with excellent communication and aesthetic values, making this topic accessible and attractive to all types of audiences, thus contributing to a wider dissemination of knowledge.

A sustainability vision inspired Saber Fazer's past and current projects such as Roteiro Oficinal do Porto (Porto Manufacturing Guide), Saber Fazer em Serralves (farm-to-cloth wool, linen, silk and natural dyeing research, including capacity building projects for the education service), Saber Fazer em Famalicão (farm-to-cloth wool, linen and silk education in primary schools), wool production assessment in Parque Biológico de Gaia (including capacity building projects for the education service), Cultura para Todos em Vinhais ( community leaders training in crafts), and its vast programme of classroom training.
