She studied graphic design at the Technical University of Košice (2011—2017). Katarína Rybnická is a laureate of the Most Beautiful Book of Slovakia award in 2017 and 2024. With the Katkat Studio team, she was nominated for the National Design Award in 2022 for the campaign “Scenario for Košice.” In 2024, her book design for Baba z lesa was selected for the exhibition “The Vienna Exhibition of Most Beautiful Book” organized by the Typographic Society Austria. Her selected graphic works are part of the collections of the Slovak National Gallery and the East Slovak Gallery.

During my university studies (since 2014), I gained experience working in various printmaking studios – linocut, lithography, and serigraphy. Within the Šopa Gallery (Contemporary art gallery in Košice), I run a screen-printing workshop, where I teach screen-printing courses as well as other printmaking classes. My favorite technique is lithography, mainly because of the freedom it offers.
