Workshop Craft Movement Happening – Joint Tapestry Creation in Košice

This is a 10-day workshop focused on working with textile materials and innovative technologies. Participants will learn material preparation, natural dyeing techniques, and collaboratively create a collective tapestry. They will also get acquainted with the material and technological library of the Košice Textile Centre. (we co-organize this event with Textilné Centrum Košice).

It’s an open platform in Slovakia for working with textile materials and technologies, aimed at traditional crafts, design, art, and innovation. Its core principles include active work with living crafts and industrial technologies towards their sustainability and locality. The course structure includes modules on designing with values, material exploration, story and ecosystem mapping, and tapestry production.
